I was driving to Idaho Falls when I came upon seven horses in a ditch, blanketed and hitched to a fence line. A wheel blowout on I-15 gave need for unloading horses on the side of the highway, for safety reasons.
These guys were shocked when I pulled over in my skirt, heels and Honda Civic. They assured me that everything was alright and help was on the way. I told them I was glad and then asked if I could photograph them. There would have been no such doing elsewhere. I'd have been shy. I'd have been scared for my well being, perhaps. But I'm not afraid of Idaho cowboys. They're the salt of the earth and these two were glad to let me photograph their cowponies and their rig.
JUST ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE.
